Timeline/Pull Point: Post season 2 Episode Nine Code of the Hero. In this episode Dinobot seeks a way to regain his honor after betraying the Maximals. When he sees Megatron’s plan to eradicate the proto-humans, he decides the best way to regain it is to fight off the Predacons and save the protohumans. He sacrifices his life in the process.
*
History: A history, full of sound and fury.*
Personality: If one word could be used to describe Dinobot, it would be: warrior. The Maximal has spent his life dedicated to fighting, to the warrior way. What is the warrior way? To him it is a personal code he must abide by at all times. He believes fighting must always be honorable, giving the enemy a fair chance at combat, as he did with Optimus Primal when he first challenged the Maximal leader on the new planet.
Despite the good intentions of his warrior code, it hasn’t made him the brightest spot of sunshine. On the contrary he’s quite short and easily annoyed with his comrades. Oftentimes he can get volatile if not enraged, blame a life working with Predacons. Rattrap often gets the full brunt of this, exchanging insults and fisticuffs with each other. But despite this, he will keep company and consider the input of those close to him, much less defend them to the death, which is what he ultimately did when defending the protohumans from Megatron. And don’t let his looks or mannerisms fool you, he can get quite eloquent. Oftentimes his speeches can get positively Shakespearian, going so far as to quote the infamous 'To be or not to be' speech.
There is a part of him who wants what’s right. The problem is for him is figuring out what’s right. He has his warrior code, yes, but it seems as if either Predacon or Maximal ideals do not line up exactly with his standards. He finds either the Predacons too debased and decadent or he finds the Maximals too soft and pacifist. He merely choose the side of the Maximals because they came closest to his code and out of personal obligation. While he realizes he must do what’s right for him, he has a long way to go…

Powers/Abilities: As a Maximal, Dinobot has good stamina, being able to take a few hits before going down. He’s a seasoned warrior, able to pick out good strategy, adept at sneaking and attacking the enemy. He’s also quite skilled as a swordsman. But among those abilities he also has the very science fiction ability to shoot lasers out of his eyes. The lambada will weaken this ability so that Dinobot will only use this ability in a short burst, requiring a long recharge period.
Most importantly, of course, Dinobot like any other Cybertonian can transform. But unlike older Cybertonians his alt mode consists of a Velociraptor, which moves just as well as any Velociraptor will.
*
Inventory: Dinobot will only arrive with his sword (aka his tail in beast mode) and his shield (which is also a body part in beast mode).
*
Starting Polarity: Vector Prime
Writing Samples*
First Person Sample: [Dinobot flicks the feed on, his face looking displeased as always. Not often he appears happy and this isn’t an exception. However, this time around it appears he has some urgent business to attend.
Urgent doesn’t even cover it. He’s stranded on a potentially hostile planet with a great potential of Predacons or Maximals seeking his head. The best strategy would to simply call out without mentioning either faction. That way he can narrow down the list of potential enemies without necessarily exposing himself to more risk than needed.]Attention, this is Dinobot. I seek a vermin. He is of Cybertonian origin, small, with a silver metal. He belongs to the Maximals. If you find this individual, report his location to me.
[There vague enough for either side to interpret the message their own way, hopefully. He pauses before adding one more snarling afterthought:]If I find you have been harboring this vermin, do not think I will hesitate to snuff your spark. Dinobot over and out.

Third Person Sample: The valley seemed peaceful at this time. But Dinobot did not see peace. He saw the prelude to a storm, a calculated silence from the other side. The Maximals were off patrolling the other territories while their leader Optimus Primal would be off at the ship, their base. Thankfully he had some distance from Rattrap’s infernal jabbering. The vermin’s company could get annoying at times.
But that wasn’t important. What was important was to plan, to prepare. His eyes scanned the crevices and cliffs. His position would be open to any Predacon attack. Just two from different positions would be enough to overpower him. Best to take the defensive and seek lower ground, amongst the foliage. There he had proper cover.
From that point he continued his patrol. Every step was a calculated strategy, a battle plan. He had his sword out, ready to strike for the spark of an offending Predacon. Yes, the other Maximals might say he was over vigilant, too serious. They feels as if he should just learn to relax. But this was the path he had chosen, he knew the consequences and sacrifices he would have to make adhering to his life as a warrior.
…but what if he had chosen a different path? Often he had contemplated what other paths he could have taken, what his life could have been. It was that time he let his guard down, just slightly...until he saw something flicker far off in a bush.
He snarled his resolve. No. In this universe and any other universe, he would remain one and one thing only: a warrior.
